History of Company

Incorporated in 1991, Ground Loop Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. is one of the oldest and most well-established geothermal companies in the state of Maryland. Back in the 1980s, our grandfather installed geothermal systems alongside our father long before most HVAC technicians were learning about the technology. As a family-owned business benefiting from 3 generations of experience, we’ve installed more than 5,000 systems and we’ve earned the distinction of being in 2015 the largest single location dealer of residential WaterFurnace products in the country. Although we install top-of-the-line geothermal systems, we’re able to offer competitive pricing thanks to our extensive industry relationships and high volume. With our A+ rating from the BBB, you can trust that we’ll put your needs first.

Unlike many other installers of geothermal HVAC solutions, geothermal systems are our specialty. This means you can trust that we have the skills needed to professionally install the right system for your needs.

Ground Loop custom-designs loop systems of all sizes for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Our company has IGSHPA and LEED-certified installers on staff to ensure delivery of the highest quality work. Our team of professionals are trained and certified in pipe fusion, loop installation, equipment installation, and excavation safety, and we’ve also earned certifications from WaterFurnace as a GeoPro Master Dealer, so our experience and credentials far exceed the competition.

Ground Loop is familiar with the requirements of general contractors and will coordinate with project managers, architects, designers, site managers and other sub contractors to facilitate a smooth installation process. We’ll go above and beyond to ensure that the installation process is minimally disruptive to your life and we will always be available to answer any questions you may have.
