WaterFurnace 700 Series Installation

Geothermal Heat Pump Installation

At Ground Loop Heating and Air Conditioning, we are the premier provider of geothermal system installation across the Northeast. We have installed far more systems than any of our closest competitors.

Here are a few factors that must be taken into consideration before your system’s installation:

Piping

Thick but flexible piping is used in geothermal installations, which are crafted from high-quality, high-density polyethylene. All below-grade connections must be made by heat fusing to ensure a strong and long-lasting connection without any threads. After installation, piping is pressure tested before backfilling. Once connected to the indoor geothermal unit the loop is flushed to remove debris and air. Ground Loop uses only the highest-quality materials.

Sizing

At Ground Loop, we use multi-speed geothermal equipment so that a system can be sized to handle both your heating and your cooling needs. For example, a typical home in Maryland needs more heating than it does the cooling. In this case, we can install a multi-speed geothermal system which will run on high speed during the winter for heating, and then drop to a lower speed in the summer for your cooling.
This allows for maximum efficiency in the winter, but also allows for proper humidity control in the summer. We incorporate detailed information about your Annapolis, MD, home, as well as our extensive experience, to recommend the ideal type of unit and loops for your home.

Correct Loop System

The specific loop type that you will require depends on several factors involving your Annapolis property. Our team will work closely with you to design and install a system that will work best for your needs as well as the requirements of your land.

Qualified Geothermal Installer

When it comes to the replacement of your geothermal HVAC system, you will need to carefully consider the company that you work with on this vital task. At Ground Loop, we will work closely with you to determine the ideal system for your needs and we provide flexible financing options to help you complete your purchase. “Ground Loop, and in particular, Toby and Scott, get 5 stars for finally resolving what had been many years of frustrations regarding my geothermal cooling upstairs. The system installation, and its bi-annual maintenance, had been performed by another company. I had complained for several years about the upstairs cooling not being able to maintain at the thermostat setting during the hot summer days. They offered a variety of ideas, including the installation of a new air handler (an expensive non-fix), none of which improved the cooling. My builder suggested Ground Loop for a second opinion. Toby immediately observed multiple compressor leaks as well as poor pressure readings. Mind you, the system had just been inspected 2 months earlier by the installation/maintenance company. Scott made recommendations and oversaw the work. Finally, my upstairs is maintained at the thermostat setting for the first time in many summers. These guys are professional and knowledgable, and communication has been great! Highly recommend!!”

We had our neighbor recommend your company for our geothermal repairs. We had the pleasure of Shawn arrive promptly on the morning of August 5, 2020. He was polite and informative. He fixed the problem with our geothermal system very quickly.

Your customer service was wonderful. It was refreshing to talk to an actual person so quickly when I phoned your company. I was very happy with your company from start to finish. My only regret is that I didn’t find your company sooner. However, you have our business in the future.
Regards,

“From the initial estimate appointment, through the install, and both maintenance visits they were on time or early. They completely cleaned up at the end of each workday. After 18 months of use, I have no complaints and I’m saving approximately 40% per month on my BGE bill. I highly recommend using Ground Loop for your HVAC work.”

We have been customers with Ground Loop since we built our house in 2001. When it was as time to replace the old system, there was no doubt that we would use Groundloop again. Now we have the Water Furnace system, more energy-efficient and trouble-free. We have the semi-annual maintenance service and we are always satisfied with the quality of the technicians’ work and professionalism.

“The system is very inexpensive to run (the other day it never got above 35 and it only cost $3.89 to operate). I am very happy, and could not recommend these folks more highly. If I had to choose again, I would make the same call.”

“The installation went extremely well. Only one day of digging in the yard to install the ground loops. We had two units installed in the house, one in the basement and one in the attic, which took a bit over two weeks. The Ground Loop team members were extremely knowledgeable about their products. They were very courteous and professional. They arrived on time and cleaned up any messes they made. If you want a geothermal system, Ground Loop is the company to call.”

“The state and federal government subsidies made me start to seriously consider replacing my existing HVAC system. My old system would constantly run in the summertime and the house had difficultly keeping 70 degrees when it was over 90 degrees outside. I had doubts if the engineering would be sufficient because the rule of thumb is 200 feet per ton of cooling and the system is a variable speed 3/4 ton unit. I contacted the east coast representative for WaterFurnace (maker of the HVAC unit) and they assured me that 600′ would be more than sufficient. The outside unit was removed and the new unit is in my basement. It runs so quietly that most people can not even hear it. I can barely hear the unit (less noise than a refrigerator. The unit is designed to constantly run and the house has never been cooler. The unit has not failed me and I am looking forward to the winter to see how well it performs. The air quality has also improved because the unit uses large filters (up to #13 for maximum filtering) that are easy to replace and can be ordered online. The thermostat reminds me of when it’s time to replace the filter (@every three months). Ground Loop did an excellent job in engineering, installation, and maintenance. I had an issue with the thermostat giving an incorrect humidity reading. The technician came out the next day and swapped the unit out – still didn’t fix the problem. He contacted WaterFurnace and manually adjusted the internal sensor to compensate for the problem. I have owned my home since 1993 and this is the first time the HVAC unit has worked properly. Ground Loop sized the unit correctly and installed it in my basement without any problems or concerns. I highly recommend them.”

“We looked into a geothermal heat pump system several months back and Group Loop Heating and Air Conditioning were one of the companies that responded to our queries.

Fast forward to today, and they have just finished up the installation of our new system. These guys were really professional throughout the whole process.

Out of the 4 contractors, we contacted they were the only ones who actually showed up in a timely manner, their bid was on par with the other ones we received but it was their professionalism that really got them our business.

This was a complicated project and there have been a few bumps in the road, but the reason these guys get 5 stars is how they responded to them. Once all of the county paperwork was in these guys came out and cranked out the system installation and their finishing work is really impeccable.

I am super happy with the system and the service I received from Ground Loop and I feel very comfortable recommending them to anybody!”
