WFI Industries has received many inquiries about their own environmental impact and practices. The following is a brief summary of what their company does to reduce their carbon footprint and create a positive environmental impact. This is a brief summary of a few WaterFurnace policies and initiatives.
The company has a paperless initiative across all office areas to eliminate the use of paper wherever possible.
The company has a policy of helping charitable organizations by providing our geothermal systems to any charitable organization at half price. We are working to become especially active with Habitat for Humanity.
All major components in WFI product have a component of recycled materials.
All major components in WFI products can be recycled when the product comes to the end of its useful life.
We design products using only environmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant.
We use geothermal heating and cooling equipment to heat, cool, and provide hot water for the office and manufacturing facility, reducing carbon emissions by 70 metric tons per year or the environmental equivalent of taking 140 cards off the road permanently.
We recapture and recycle all refrigerant used in the manufacturing process.
